The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines will host its Trade & Connect series titled: “Navigating Cross-Border Challenges: UK to PH Logistics & Supply Chain Insights” on June 11, 2024, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM in Makati City.

The British Chamber offers a deep dive into the evolving landscape of the Philippine supply chain and logistical capacities to accommodate trade. The events would be headlined by key industry figures: Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio of Bureau of Customs, Assistant Commissioner Atty. Jethro M. Sabariaga, of Large Taxpayers Service at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Executive Director Ma. Corazon Halili-Dichosa of Industry Development Services of Board of Investments–with The Philippine Business and News as one of its media partners.

In the 2023, World Bank Logistics Performance Index (LPI), the Philippines secured the 43rd spot out of 139 countries, 17 places above its standing in 2018. The British Chamber emphasized that the Philippines’ recent improvement in its Logistics Performance Index (LPI) reflects advancements in logistics infrastructure–positioning the country for significant economic growth and enhanced trade efficiency.
