As economies start to reopen, so do opportunities.
And opportunities will abound on the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines’ three-day, in-person Philippine-British Meat Trade Mission from May 17-19 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
The event which is in partnership with UK’s Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), aims to offer British exporters the opportunity to explore the Philippine market, particularly the meat industry. Participants can discover current business and market opportunities, and help establish long-term partnerships with local importers.
The UK beef industry has strong demand globally and is well known for its unique and great livestock tradition which has earned a reputation for high standards of animal welfare and food safety.
As UK’s pork exports gain popularity, the event also hopes to promote British beef in the Philippines as well.
This will be attended by a delegation of nine top British meat suppliers and traders who are interested to explore export opportunities in the Philippines with the objective of meeting potential key partners and establishing significant long-term partnerships.
Representatives from the Philippine meat industry will also be on hand to discuss local market and demand. They are Philippine Association of Meat Processors Inc. president Felix Tiukinhoy, Atkins Import and Export president Gabby Ang, and Meat World International Inc. chief operating officer Bernadette Lee.
