THE British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines emphasized the critical need for robust cybersecurity practices and policies noting that industry standards continuously evolve and serve a significant role to businesses and other organizations.

In line with this advocacy, the British Chamber will be launching the third installation of its monthly event on 20 March 2024 under Trade and Connect, titled, “Securing the digital frontier: Breaking through digital boundaries.” This monthly initiative highlights opportunities for stakeholders to explore multiple industries in the country.

In partnership with BCCP Corporate Member CyberQ, speakers including Founder and CEO Chris Woods and Chief Solutions Architect Vishvas Nayi of the CyberQ Group will share their insights on improving the Philippine digital landscape and geared towards the discussion on the significance of providing robust cybersecurity practices and policies that enable security conscious workforce, leverage cutting-edge technologies that prevent and protect against cybersecurity threats.

Furthermore, the British Chamber reiterates its advocacy towards the ease of doing business in the Philippines as it looks forward to the passage of the Cybersecurity Act that will further enhance cybersecurity policies in the Philippines. It also emphasized establishing closer partnership with the UK — as one of the leading countries on cybersecurity, emphasizing its role in the government and businesses.
